Back on track?

It’s a lazy Saturday. Looking at the Super G in Vancouver. Great to see, impressive work. Took me a very long time to get back behind my laptop and start blogging again. From now on I will do that in English. As much as I can. Why? Well, moving to a more international work environment simply makes it smarter to do so. And you all read and write it I presume. I’ll keep this message a short one. Be back with more, very, very soon.
The road to Antwerp

Finally. Everything is arranged and taken care off. Starting next Wednesday my Belgian adventure begins. I will join Truvo as the Director Content from the 1st of July. An exciting challenge that I really look forward to. InCircle will still continue but in a different way. I will focus on helping not for profit and non profit organisations in a new and totaly different way. If you like to know more about those activities please e-mail me or use Twitter (twitter.com/marcel_incircle or @marcel_incircle). At first I will be ‘living out of a suitcase’ and will frequently write a ‘Via Antverpia’ posting in which I keep you updated with the Belgian adventure!Eindelijk is het dan zover. Alles in kannen en kruiken. Vanaf volgende week woensdag begint het Belgische avontuur. Vanaf 1 juli ben ik bij Truvo.com aan de slag als Director Content. Een spannende uitdaging waar ik met veel plezier naar uitkijk. InCircle blijft ook bestaan maar wel anders. The Pet Shop Boys

Incredibly beautifull, Love etc., by the Pet Shop Boys. I am not one to talk about my musical preferences often but I want to make an exception for this album and more specific thsi song. Two important reasons.
First of all the music itself. Xenomania is behind the track and together with the boys they made a fantastic recording out of it. The rest of the tracks are not bad. You do have to listen to them more often, thats the case with a lot of good music though. The Pet Shop Boys call it: “a post-lifestyle anthem which sounds like nothing we’ve done before.” And they are completely right when you ask me.
Second, the graphical art in the clip, not less important. Han Hoogerbrugge is the ‘visual artist’ responsible for this intriguing look at Love etc. It caught my eye immediately and I cannot seem to get enough of it. A strong taste of multimedial art from our own soil. Hurray for Han! Click here to watch other pieces of his artwork.

Ongelofelijk mooi vind ik de nieuwste plaat, Love etc., van de Pet Shop Boys. Ik zeg niet vaak wat over mijn muziekvoorkeuren maar deze plaat mag echt meer in het voetlicht. Om twee belangrijke redenen.
Allereerst de muziek zelf. Xenomania zit achter de muziek en samen met de jongens hebben ze er echt een mooie plaat van gemaakt. De rest van de nummers zijn anders maar niet slecht. Je moet ze wat meer luisteren zoals dat vaak gaat met muziek. De Pet Shop Boys noemen het zelf: “a post-lifestyle anthem which sounds like nothing we’ve done before.” En wat mij betreft hebben ze helemaal gelijk.
Ten tweede en zeker niet minder belangrijk het grafische werk in de clip. Han Hoogerbrugge is de ‘visual artist’ die verantwoordelijk is voor deze intrigerende blik op Love etc. Ik was er zelf meteen door gegrepen en kan er eigenlijk geen genoeg van krijgen. Een sterk staaltje multimediale kunst van eigen bodem. Een applaus voor Han! Klik hier om ook de rest van zijn werken te bekijken.

And it’s cold again. The weather is changing a lot these days, just like my blog behaviour. It is very difficult to update the web sometimes, no time, no desire to write, you know… I do feel that freshness in messaging is important. Any one of you some good tips on keeping the blog up to date?En toen was het weer koud. Het weer wisselt behoorlijk en zo ook mijn bloggedrag de laatste tijd. Het is soms knap lastig berichten tijdig te posten omdat je simpelweg geen tijd en ook geen zin hebt. Toch vind ik het belangrijk voor de ‘versheid’ van berichten. Iemand goede tips over het vers houden van weblogs?
