Incredibly beautifull, Love etc., by the Pet Shop Boys. I am not one to talk about my musical preferences often but I want to make an exception for this album and more specific thsi song. Two important reasons.
First of all the music itself. Xenomania is behind the track and together with the boys they made a fantastic recording out of it. The rest of the tracks are not bad. You do have to listen to them more often, thats the case with a lot of good music though. The Pet Shop Boys call it: “a post-lifestyle anthem which sounds like nothing we’ve done before.” And they are completely right when you ask me.
Second, the graphical art in the clip, not less important. Han Hoogerbrugge is the ‘visual artist’ responsible for this intriguing look at Love etc. It caught my eye immediately and I cannot seem to get enough of it. A strong taste of multimedial art from our own soil. Hurray for Han! Click here to watch other pieces of his artwork.

On Monday I always take some time to read reviews. Just read a review on what some experts consider to be a better website. I think it is a bit strange to give people the label ‘expert’ that easily, but ok. After seeing some sites that I myself do not find very new or extremely good I saw one that I think is strong because of the simplicity. Visa combines Flickr with ‘responsabillity’ in a nice and simple way. Click here to see the site.
New star on the search and find horizon? Wolfram Alpha. Stephen Wolfram is a scientist who has been working, with over 100 others, on what might become Google’s competitor. The Wolframists call it a ‘knowledge engine’ powered by calculations based on numerous algorithms and the use of natural language. Far to difficult for me to understand. That’s something I better leave to all the smart ones out there. Nevertheless it’s watched with great interest, it could just be the case that Google is in for some difficult times in the near future. We’ll see what happens.
