The Pet Shop Boys

Apr 20, 2009

Incredibly beautifull, Love etc., by the Pet Shop Boys. I am not one to talk about my musical preferences often but I want to make an exception for this album and more specific thsi song. Two important reasons.

First of all the music itself. Xenomania is behind the track and together with the boys they made a fantastic recording out of it. The rest of the tracks are not bad. You do have to listen to them more often, thats the case with a lot of good music though. The Pet Shop Boys call it: “a post-lifestyle anthem which sounds like nothing we’ve done before.” And they are completely right when you ask me.

Second, the graphical art in the clip, not less important. Han Hoogerbrugge is the ‘visual artist’ responsible for this intriguing look at Love etc. It caught my eye immediately and I cannot seem to get enough of it. A strong taste of multimedial art from our own soil. Hurray for Han! Click here to watch other pieces of his artwork.

Fresh

Apr 17, 2009

And it’s cold again. The weather is changing a lot these days, just like my blog behaviour. It is very difficult to update the web sometimes, no time, no desire to write, you know… I do feel that freshness in messaging is important. Any one of you some good tips on keeping the blog up to date?

Mindmapping!

Apr 8, 2009

mindmapMindmapping. A technique I picked up on during my NLP training somewhere in 1996. Fun at the time, like a gadget, but got to appreciate it over time. Today I use it when I need to bring order to my chaos, when I need to filter, group and regroup.  Discussed a mindmap technique revival with other mindmap aficionados like @alexisvandam (Twitter) . A must do!  Also very important for starting entrepreneurs to learn and use.

Hier een leuk stuk je gratis en betaald (15 dollar) mindmapping software voor de Apple.
Hier een app voor Windows.

Your opinion counts. Speak! ;-)

facebookAn update on the never ending growth within social media. I wrote about the growth of Twitter in the US to nearly 8 mln not so long ago, now they have already expanded to 14 mln. And that is only measured through their website. Facebook is bursting too, with over 91 mln visitors. Below some stats (made with Compete.com):
