US Gov on Twitter
Nothing new. Twitter is growing rapidly. We also see a drastic increase in use of Twitter by government organisations who are using Twitter as one of the communcations channels. The following directory is a bit of a representation of how which US governments are using it already. GovTwit Directory.
Sustainable social media
What in terms of ‘business’ is going on behind most of the social media applications? Nothing.
The applications are fun mostly but they exsist without a clear business model. They keep popping up in great numbers and it is not clear, with the most of them, where they are going and how they are planning to stay upright.
It’s like the Salvation Army kitchen. A lot of pots and pans controled by some amateur cooks with love for what they are doing. Of course there are some three star restaurants with the best chef, sous – chef and strategy too but those do not come in great numbers. Social media should become more sustainable is my opinion. Luckily more of us are feeling the same way.
