Bored on the bench? It’s just a point of view. Of course it’s disturbing that freelancers are out of jobs faster and longer then usual or to be an interim manager with trouble finding an interim assignment. I am in the midst of such a situation but I also see what the advantages are. It can go in all directions. I use this time for some self reflection and look at my wishes and goals again. Am I going in the direction I want to? Is this the moment to start something completely different? Should I work for an employer again? Which partnerships can I build? Actually, you should look at this momentary lapse as a welcome moment of change. Because you normally never take enough time to look at your strategy. Enjoy it while it lasts! Because before you know it, its: How are you? No time, busy, busy…Balen op de bank? Is maar hoe je het bekijkt. Natuurlijk baal je ervan als freelancer dat je in deze tijd sneller en langer aan de kant zit of dat je als interim manager minder makkelijk aan de bak komt. Zit zelf midden in zo een situatie en zie ook meteen wat de voordelen zijn. Het kan alle kanten op. Ik gebruik deze tijd voor een stuk reflectie en bekijk mijn wensen en doelen eens opnieuw. Ga ik wel de richting op waar ik heen wil? Is dit het moment om heel iets anders te gaan doen? Ga ik weer als loonslaaf aan de slag? Welke partnerships kan ik aangaan? Eigenlijk moet je deze impasse aangrijpen als een welkome afwisseling. Als het te druk is neem je vaak te weinig tijd om je strategie te bepalen. Geniet er van, zo lang het duurt! Want voor dat je het weet is het weer: Hoe gaat het met je? Ik heb het druk.
